-Big winners for 2008:
VmWare, Linux, GPU processing, Intelligent Software Agents, Carbon NanoTubes, Cheap Solar, WindBelts
-Big losers for 2008: DRM, RIAA, Record Lables, Vista,
-Soaring oil prices will inspire wonderful AltFuel autos such as Energine Corp's phev hybid or MDI's pure pneumatic, Ethanol Boosting Systems

Review Predictions for 2007:
-Vista will be lukewarm, carrying DRM baggage and pretty looks, M$ will eventually backport the security advances to XP.
Correct: Vista acceptance is slow; security wise it is a nightmare; no backport of memory randomization unfortunately.
-The music industry will start to notice that DRM annoys legal customers, but has NO effect on illegal consumers who get DRM free music.
Incorrect: the music industry continues to whip the DRM mule despite it's lack of pull.
-various startups will try to sell drm free music from gifted startup bands; and fail.
Incorrect: didn't see a big DRM free, label free music service
-HD market will be soft, with competing standards HDDVD & BlueRay, expensive equipment, and DRM hell; most ppl will stick with DVD.
Correct: ppl are holding their $ until they see a clear winner.
-Apple will make a huge impact on the cell phone market; not by iPhone dominance but by setting the standard to which all others must exceed or expire.
Correct: in fact some phones are mimicking apple's interface
-wind farms = free energy
Correct: countries are competing for the title of largest wind farm (US/Holland)
-Internet TV via Bittorrent will become reality; and broadcast networks will relize transmitting radio waves via a tower is less efficient than broadcasting on the internet.
Correct: see Miro
-the big 3 North American auto producers will loose more ground to non-unionized, nimble, efficient Japanese & Korean car companies. GM may even fall from #1 seller to #3 by eoy.
Correct: GM falls to #2 superceded by Toyota
