The lock picking kit was homemade. Take some brick strap from a construction yard (the strap used to bundle things around crates, the thick whitish stuff works best however). Then dremel or file the rake or diamond pick. The rake is the easiest to use but can destroy locks over time. For the tension wrench take a nail, bend shape it then heat it then plunge it into cold water to temper it, otherwise it will bend.

Potassium Permanganate stored in a piece of drinking straw plugged with wax at either end. This chemical has a number of uses:
A couple of grains in water will purify it.
A few more grains will turn the water into a usable antiseptic solution
Mixed with sugar it will act as a fire starter/smoke generator
Put the crystals onto a sheet of newspaper and pour a small quantity of anti-freeze (glycol based) on it and quickly scrunch up the paper and within a few seconds it will burst into flames.
It can be used in solution to stain wood or to stain snow as an emergency marker
